Read and Review Chapter One "Mommy!" 7 year old Andrea Jordan Rossi shouted as she came running back onto the lawn outside her house.
"Andrea!" her mom mocked, as the other adults there laughed.
"Kevin keeps chasing me!" she whined, as Kevin came up on the lawn.
"I'm not gonna hurt you," Kevin said.
"But it's still not nice," Andrea pouted.
The parents on the front porch laughed again, Andrea's parents, Lisa, and Leo Rossi, and the Jonas' Paul, and Denise. An 8 year old Joe Jonas was also sitting there, happily eating cookies, and drinking milk.
"You just watch, those two are going to grow up, and fall in love," Paul said putting the 5 year old Nick back down, after having him sit on his lap.
"Ewww! Boys are icky!" Andrea squealed.
"No, girls are gross!" the 10 year old Kevin said.
"Nu-huh, boys are gross," Andrea retorted. That's when Kevin came running at her, so she started running away, towards the back yard of her house, Kevin grabbed her around her waist and she fell to the ground, as Kevin landed on top of her.
"What's wrong with boys?" Kevin asked.
"They all have cooties," Andrea told him, matter of factly.
"So that's why we could never fall in love, like my dad said?" he asked.
"You said that girls were gross," she told him.
"Not gross enough for me to do this," Kevin said before leaning down and kissing her cheek.
"No! Now I have boy cooties!" she shrieked, squirming out of his grasp, and running back to the front of her Wyckoff, New Jersey home.
That was the day Kevin Jonas realized something. Kevin Jonas was in love with Andrea Jordan Rossi. 10 years later The late September air was warm, the sun was rising, and Andrea was eating breakfast on her front porch, the same front porch all the adults were sitting on just ten years previous. She was just finishing off her bagel when a PT Cruiser pulled into her driveway. Andrea walked over to the front door and opened it, "Mom! I'm going now, bye!" she yelled, before letting the door close. She made her way down to the car; she stopped to look at the house next door. No one had been there for seven months. Seven long months since she had seen her next door neighbors, aka, her second family and best friends, the Jonas'. When they were signed with Columbia, it was insane! They released their first album, It's About Time, in August 2006. But then, they were dropped from Columbia becasue sales weren't very good. It broke their hearts. Then they were picked back up again signing with Hollywood Records, this was where their rise to the top would begin. They were gone on a School Tour, playing at random school for kids. They called every day, telling her about where they were, what each show was like, how the kids reacted. She loved that family like she loved her own, Paul and Denise were her Godparents, and Andrea's parents were Joe's Godparents. She called Paul and Denise Papa J and Mama J, while the boys, Kevin, Joe, Nick and even little Frankie called her parents mom and dad. Well, Joe called her mom, mommy. They were coming back soon though, they had just released their second album, Jonas Brothers, but, they were coming back for a while before embarking on another tour for the album, they weren't leaving for that until after New Year's. The car's horn started honking, pulling Andrea out of her thoughts. "See, told you I wouldn't be late," her best friend Chandler told her, as Andrea got into the car. She buckled up her seatbelt before looking over at her, "Two weeks after school has started, and this is the first time you’re early." 17 year old Chandler rolled her eyes before pulling out of the driveway, "Well, we'll be early today, so that's all that matters. Saw you taking a trip down memory lane there." "That house is full of memories. When they come back, and you met them, trust me, that house will be a memory haven for you too," Andrea said as she watched out the window. Chandler had only just moved to Wyckoff the last week of August, her dad had a job transfer, so they ended up there, around the corner for where Andrea lived. "Well, from what you tell me, I think I'll like them, you didn't make them seem like stuck up, cocky, rock stars," Chandy said pulling into their school parking lot. Andrea smiled, "They aren't. They're just...the boys that have lived next door to me forever." They got out of the car and began their journey through their Monday at Wyckoff High. "Last year here!" Andrea said happily. "I've only been here for two weeks, and I'm already sick of it. Never mind you, all your high school life," Chandler said as they walked down to their lockers. Andrea laughed, "Just think of it this way, seniors don't have to be here all day, we have spares. Meet you back here for math." Chandy nodded, and they both headed in different directions. She felt her phone vibrate from her jeans; she pulled it out and saw she had a new message from Joe. Have fun at school! She smiled and rolled her eyes before responding. Yea, thanks, I'll try. Sadly, cell phones were not allowed in school, so she had to turn it off and leave it in her locker. She grabbed her books, closed her locker and went to meet Chandler. "Off to math we go," Chandy said linking their arms and heading to the math room. "The day is over!" Andrea said, basically dancing over to the car, at one that afternoon. "Yea, only for us. Everyone else is still locked in there until three," Chandy said unlocking the doors. They played the radio, and started laughing when the Jonas Brothers hit single S.O.S came on, and they both had to start singing along to it. "I'll talk to you later, we need to work on that stupid English project," Chandy said when Andrea was getting out of the car at her house. "We will...eventually," Andrea said as she got out. She waved as Chandy pulled out and started driving back to her house. "Family. I'm home!" she called as she walked through the front door. "Hello, dear," her mom said from the living room. Their house was nothing but memorabilia. Pictures where everywhere, when all the kids were younger, on vacations with the Jonas family, just her family when they were in Italy visiting, school musicals, talent shows, both families at Broadway when Nick was performing, their first and second record release party. "How was school?" her mom asked. "Eh, boring as per usual," she answered. "I talked to Denise today," her mom told her. "Oh yeah, what did she say?" Andrea asked. "That she missed us all, the boys are doing well, so are her and Paul, and they can't wait to come home," she said, continuing to dust. "Did she say when they were coming home?" she asked. Her mom shook her head, "No, they don't know exactly when yet." Andrea nodded and went up to her room. Her dad wouldn't be home until 5:30-ish. He was a chef, and owned three restaurants in the New Jersey, soon to be four. This was her dad's passion, cooking. Sadly, Andrea didn't exactly pick up the gene; she could cook simple things, but nothing as fancy as her father could do. Her private line started ringing; she went to her computer desk to get her cordless phone. "Hello?" "Hello there, Miss. Rossi," Joe said into the phone. "Hello, Mr. Jonas. How are you?" she asked going back over to the bed, and flopping down on it. "I'm wicked bored, we're sitting in the tour bus," he said. "I'd rather be sitting in the tour bus, then sitting in math and English, and law," she said moving some of her chin length brown hair from her face. "Yeah, that's true," he said, she knew she was smiling on the other line. "Who is it?" someone asked from Joe's side of line. "It's Andrea," Joe said. "Let me talk," they other person said. "I'm talking," Joe whined. Then there was some yelling, and she could tell there was a bit of a struggle with the phone. "Hi, Andy!" Kevin said into the phone. "Hey, Kevin!" she said. "Anyone break into our house since we've been gone?" he asked. "Nope, I've been protecting it. Me and my baseball bat," she said smiling. "Good to hear. Nick's here, he wants to say hi. I miss you lots, Andy," he said. She smiled, "Miss you to Kevin, now, let me talk to the little stud muffin." "Hey, Andrea!" Nick said. "Hey, Nicky. Having fun?" she asked. "It has been insane! I can't believe how many people were singing along and stuff," he said happily. "How are you feeling? I'm really sorry I couldn't go out to see you when you were in the hospital," she said sadly. Nick was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes during the School Tour and had to be in the hospital for two nights. "No, it's alright, I'm feeling fine," he said brushing it off, "Frankie wants to say hi." "Andrea!" Frankie yelled into the phone. "Frank the tank! How's it going?" she asked. "Did you see the Frank J show on Youtube?" he asked. She laughed, "Oh yes, I saw it. I hope Joe didn't hurt you too much," she told him. "Nope, didn't hurt me. People actually gave me Webkinz," he told her excitedly. "That's awesome Frankie," she told him. "Joe wants to talk to you again," he said. "I'm back!" Joe said, "But we have to get going, miss you Rea, talk to you soon!" "Miss you guys too! Have fun!" she said before they both hung up. She put the phone beside her, and sighed. She missed the boys like crazy, and couldn't wait for them to come home. She missed Paul's funny stories, Denise's amazing cooking, Kevin's laugh, Joe's...well, just Joe, she missed being able to talk to Nick about anything he was an amazing listener, and she missed Frankie's jokes. She couldn't wait until they were all back home, right where they belonged.

Chapter two Two weeks later, during the first week of October, Andrea was walking her Golden Retriever, London, around the neighborhood on one of the rare weekends when she didn't have any homework. She was walking the final few meters when Chandy pulled her car into Andrea's driveway. "Good walk?" Chandy asked, pushing her blond hair from her face. "Fantastic, especially when London decided to chase a squirrel, and took me along," Andrea told her. Chandy smiled, "Did you want to study?" Andrea groaned while walking with Chandler up to the front door, "No I don't want to study, the test isn’t until Wednesday. And, we're both passing the class; way better then anyone else there." "And I would like to continue passing with the mark I have, thanks. If you don't want to study today, we can study tomorrow night, then every night until the test, where we'll cram in the morning, like usual," Chandy said as Andrea took London off her leash. "Like it'll matter if we study, Mr. Horton's tests are always the same," Andrea said. "Talking about the math test?" Andrea's dad, Leo, asked. "That we are, Mr. R. Rea here doesn't want to study," Chandy told him. He laughed, "Well, should we really be surprised about that? Does she ever want to study?" Chandy and Mr. Rossi shared a laugh, "Hey, I'm still in the room here," Andrea said waving her hands, to emphasize her point. "Come on, Andy, we're just messing with you," her dad told her, patting her shoulder. Andrea rolled her eyes, "You know I hate being called, Andy." "You let Kevin call you that," her dad pointed out. "Kevin is a different case, he will be the only person, ever allowed to call me, Andy," she told him. He put his hands up in defeat, "Fair enough. So what are you two up to, besides not studying that is?" "I'm going with a whole lot of nothing, followed by boredom," Chandy told him. "Sounds like fun. But, this is better. Go to the mall, on me," Leo said pulling out his wallet and taking out one of his credit cards. Andrea raised her eyebrows, "You're trusting us with one of your cards?" she asked indicating herself and Chandler, who was looking at the card with her mouth open. "I know I can trust you two, now, just go," he said thrusting the card into Andrea's hand, and pushing her and Chandler out the door. "What's the rush?" Andrea asked. He stared at them for a few second, "Don't want you missing any time at the mall, is all. Now, go," he instructed, indicating Chandler's car. "Your dad scares me sometimes," Chandler said when they were in the car. "Especially when he gives me credit cards," she told her, looking over the card in hand. "I don't believe he just gave it over to you, you're so spoiled," Chandy said laughing and shaking her head, as she pulled out and began driving. "That's what I get for being an only child," she said, leaning against the seat, and looking out at the familiar scenery. In truth, Andrea was spoiled, but in a humble way. It wasn't like she would get gifts for remembering to put her dish in the sink (which she often forgot to do), if she did something worth getting a gift for, like when she got perfect on a final assignment the year before, she got London. She wasn't one of the spoiled brats that were on MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen, in fact, she hated those people. "This is only, like, my third time at this mall," Chandy said pulling in a parking spot. "If it wasn't for those people," Andrea said pointing to a group of giggling girls flipping their hair back, in skirts that should be made illegal, "it would be my heaven." Three hours, countless stores, and bags later, the girls made their way back to Chandler's car, loading the bags in the trunk, and getting in. "You're dad, is my new best friend," Chandy said pulling out of the mall. "Whoa, ouch. So I should give this back to you, so you can give it my dad then?" Andrea asked, pointing to the best friend necklace around her neck, she had to Best, and Chandler had the Friends. Chandler started laughing and looked over at Andrea, who was laughing along with her, "Oh yeah, of course." "I'll give you a call later," Andrea said, after taking the bags from the trunk. "Sounds good," Chandler said before pulling out of the driveway and sticking her hand out of the window to wave. "What are you doing home?" Andrea's mom asked when she walked through the front door. "I thought it would be Ok to come home, since I live here and stuff," Andrea told her, giving her an odd look. "No, honey, I mean you're early," she told her, putting the broom up against the wall. "Dad didn't tell me a time I should have been home though," Andrea told her, "Early for what?" she added as an afterthought. Her mom looked worried for a moment, before covering it up, "Early for dinner," she said. Andrea looked at the clock by the fireplace, 3:40pm. "Before I look past the oddness, we don't eat until six. But whatever, I'm gonna take these damn contacts out, they've been bugging me all day." Her mom nodded, before taking the broom and cleaning the hardwood flooring in the living room. Andrea walked up stairs, and past the third bedroom in the house, which they turned in a guestroom, mostly used for when her Nonna and Nonno would come from Italy for a visit. Whenever the boys would come to spend the night, they always insisted on sleeping in Andrea's room. She put her bags in her room, and walked to the bathroom that was across from her room, she took the contacts out, and put them in the container, and put on her rectangular, blue glasses with two lines on rhinestones on the sides. She walked back into her room and looked out one of her windows, which faced Kevin and Joe's shared bedroom. There were so many times when the boys would come and throw things at her window until she opened up, only to tell her that they were coming over. Why they would never just come and knock on the door, she didn't know. She picked up one of her shopping bags from Barnes and Nobles and took out Looking for Alaska by John Green, got comfortable on her queen sized bed, and began reading. Tap. Tap. Tap. She looked up and over at her digital clock, 5:23pm. Tap. Tap. Tap. She put the book down and got off the bed, went over to the window, and opened her curtains. Then she screamed, and ran downstairs. "What's going on?" her dad asked from the kitchen. She didn't answer, she threw open the door and went outside, not caring that it was freezing, and she was only in jeans, a t-shirt, and socks. "Andy!" "Kevy!" she yelled jumping on him. Kevin stumbled back, but kept a hold of the girl he loved dearly. "I feel left out," Joe whined. Andrea let go of Kevin, and gave Joe a hug. "Joey, I missed you so much," she told him. "I'm pretty sure that Frankie and I feel left out now," Nick stated. She turned to Nick and gave him a hug, then moved to Frankie and hugged him. "You guys have gotten freakishly tall," she told them, as they smiled, "When did you guys get back, and why was I not informed? Actually, before answering that, can we go inside? I'm going to freeze." They nodded, and went in. "Well, we got in an hour ago, and we wanted it to be a surprise," Kevin told her. "Surprise!" Joe yelled. "Thanks, Joe, I didn't think Kev made it clear enough," she told him. "Oh, duh, that's why my parents were acting awkward today." "We've had this planned for a while now," Nick told her. "And he kept it a secret?" she asked pointing to Joe. "We threatened to smash his hair straighter," Kevin told her, as she laughed. "I would never be able to live with myself if something happened to it," Joe told her, seriously. "Never go away for that long, never ever again," she told them, latching herself to Kevin's arm. "Trust me, I never want to be away from you for that long," Kevin told her. She smiled, "Good, because I could never be away from my best friends for that long again." Kevin gave a small, fake, smile. "It hasn't been that long," Joe told her. "Please, you guys were gone, then went to New York for the record release party, that was the last time I saw you guys, like, two months ago," she told them. "Boys! Welcome home!" Mr. Rossi said as he, and his wife walked into the living room. Everyone went over to hug, and get kissed on the cheek, courtesy of Mrs. Rossi. "Where's Mama and Papa J?" Andrea asked the boys. "Unloading some the luggage, I think, they'll be over soon. Missing seven months of your dad's cooking, trust me, they'll be here," Joe told her. "Are you saying my cooking wasn't good on the road?" Mrs. Jonas asked walking into the room. Joe's eyes practically popped out of his head, "Mama J!" Andrea said running over to hug her. "Hello, Rea!" she said hugging back. "Good to be home," Mr. Jonas said when he walked in. "Hey, Papa J," Andrea said letting go of Mrs. Jonas and hugging him. "You took good care of the house," he told her letting go. She laughed, "I'm glad you think so." "Come on and eat," Mr. Rossi told them, and led them to the dining room. "I wanna sit with, Andrea," Frankie declared. When Frankie took a seat, Kevin sat, making sure there was space in between himself and Frankie, so Andrea could sit beside him. "Please, people, there's enough of me to go around," she told them, as she took her seat between Kevin and Frankie. Everyone shared a laugh, before praying, and digging in. "No! Don't go yet!" Andrea whined later that night, as the Jonas' were preparing to head out. "But, Andrea, we get to sleep in out own beds," Nick whined back to her. She pouted and crossed her arm over her chest, "Fine." Hugs were going out in every direction, and choruses of 'byes' were heard. "Hey, where do you think you're going?" she asked grabbing Kevin by his arm. He laughed, "Back home," he told her. All she had to do was open her arms, and Kevin walked into her embrace. Out of all the Jonas boys, Andrea was closest to Kevin, by far. Nick was amazing, but, sometimes too quiet, and most days, he would sit and write. Joe was amazing, but too hyper to sit still for too long. Frankie...well, Frankie was only seven. But with Kevin, he was the perfect mix of everything, he would listen, give advice, and he could be just as hyper as Joe. It didn't even matter to either of them that he was three years older. "I'll see you tomorrow," Kevin told her as he pulled out, a few moments later. "Whoa, just because you've been gone for a long while, doesn't mean you get to wriggle out of our routine," she told him. He smiled, "I thought you forgot about that," he told her. "What? No way, we've been doing it for years, come on now, we did the O, now time for the X," she told him. He laughed to himself; as he bent down to kiss her cheek. Then she kissed his cheek. "Love you to bits, Andy," he told her. "Love you to pieces, Kevy," she told him. He sighed, "Why did we even start doing that?" he asked. She giggled at the memory, "Oh please, you remember." "Here, Andy, I made this one for you," 13 year old Kevin told her while the two of them were sitting in her bedroom on Valentines Day.
She took the handmade valentine card from his hand, she looked at the big red heart drawn on the front and opened it, 'Dear Andy, I hope you like the card; I thought it would be nice if I made this one special for you. Love you to bits, XOXO. From Kevin,' was written in red ink, with dozens of hearts all over the inside.
"Thank-you, Kevy!" 10 year old Andrea said hugging him.
"You’re welcome," he told her blushing.
"What's the XOXO mean?" she asked.
"Well, the X's mean kiss and the O's mean hug," he told her.
She started giggling, "Well, we just did the O, so now we have to do the X."
He looked very confused.
"See, like this," she said leaning over to kiss his cheek, causing him to blush harder, "Now you have to kiss my cheek."
He sat still, looking rather nervous, "Come on, Kevy, right here," she said pointing to her right cheek.
He nodded and leaned over to kiss her cheek.
"See, not so bad, right?" she asked.
"No," he told her.
"Bits and pieces," she then said. Again, he looked very confused, "You said, love you to bits, Andy. You know when people say bits and pieces of something? Well, now you're going to say love you to bits, and I'm going to say love you to pieces," she told him simply.
"Ok," he said nodding his head happily.

Chapter Three Andrea groaned and rolled onto her other side, when she felt someone poking her. "I am going to hurt whoever you are," she mumbled. "You wouldn't hurt me," a voice said. "Would too," she said sitting up and grabbing her glasses from her nightstand. "Even if I brought you a French Vanilla?" Kevin asked showing her the foam Starbucks cup in his hand. She eyed him before, quickly, taking the drink from his hand, earning a chuckle from him. "I didn't miss you waking me at," she said taking a looking at the clock, "10:32 in the morning." "You missed the drink though," he told her, taking a seat on her bed. She took a sip from her cup, and rested her head on the headboard, "I went and got my own while you were away." He shook his head with a grin, "This one you didn't have to pay for." She looked at him sideways, "That's true. So thank-you," she said raising her cup. "You’re welcome," he told her. "So, Mr. Big Celebrity, fill me in on the tour," she said. "I'll give you the Cliff Notes, we performed, signed things for fans, took pictures with them, and had an awesome time," he told her. "Wow, I feel like I was there," she told him sarcastically, as he laughed. "If it's any consolation, I wish you were there," he said looking at her. She looked at him and smiled, "I wish I was too, but you need to leave, I need to shower." He sighed and got up, "Alright, but come over when you're done, and not smelling like the tour bus." She laughed, "Wow, I feel really loved right now. Now, go." "Ahem, XO my friend," he said opening his arms, still holding his own drink. She got up and hugged him, then he kissed her cheek, and she kissed his. "Love you to bits, Andy," he told her. "Love you to pieces, Kevy, I'll be over soon," she said. He nodded and walked out. She put her cup on her nightstand, before gathering her things for her shower, and going across the hall to the bathroom. Forty five minutes later, she was clean, dressed and ready to go, she grabbed her bag making sure her Blackberry phone was with her, and headed down. "Jonas'?" her dad asked from the kitchen, where he always seemed to be. "Right you are," she called from the hall, before leaving. Mere seconds later, her phone went off. "Hello?" she asked. "'Ello love, and what are you doing this fine morning?" Chandy asked from the other line. "I'm walking to the Jonas house, they came home last night," she told her. "Ah, so that's I never received the phone call from you," she said. "Sorry! Lotta catching up," Andrea told her, walking up the steps to the Jonas house and knocking on the door. "No worries are we studying tonight?" she asked. "Just a sec," she said as Denise came to open the door, with Frankie trailing behind to her, "hey, Mama J, and Frank the Tank." "Rea, you could have just walked in, like I've told you a million times before," she said letting Andrea in. "Sorry, force of habit," she told her smiling. "Come on, they're in the TV room, we're playing video games," Frankie told her, grabbing her hand and dragging her to another room. "Hi, Papa J," she said when she saw him in the kitchen, as she passed with Frankie. He gave a smile and waved. "Rea, Rea, Bo-bea, banana, fanana Fo-fea, me my Mo-mea, Rea! I'm still here you know!" Chandy said loud enough for Andrea to hear. "I know, sorry, being dragged inside a house by a seven year old," she said when she and Frankie made it into the TV room, where Kevin and Nick were watching Joe play Dance Dance Revolution by himself, "Why don't you come over?" "Can't, my dad has insisted on having family fun day...or something along those lines," she told her. "Sounds...fun, for lack of a better term," she said sitting in the available seat beside Kevin, "and yeah, I think we should study tonight, what time is fun time over?" "Sevenish," she said. . "Alright, just come over to my house whenever you're done," Andrea said, before taking a drink of Kevin's coffee. "Sounds good, see you later," Chandy said. "Bye," Andrea said, then hung up. "Who was that?" Nick asked. "Chandler," she told him. "And Chandler is...?" Kevin asked. "Pretty much, my best girl friend," she told them. "I need some competition," Joe said, from the DDR mat. "Now you have some," Andrea said getting up, taking her shoes off, and standing next to Joe, as he set up the two player mode. "Going down, Rossi," he said smirking. "You first," she told him. "You know," Nick whispered to Kevin, pulling him away from looking at Andrea, "your staring is freaking me out." "Wasn't staring," Kevin lied. "It's been ten years, dude. Just do it," Nick told him. Yeah, ten long years of Kevin being in love with her. She never had a clue, he was the one there when boyfriends came and went, he was there when her parents almost got a divorce when she was fourteen. He loved her. But, he was only her best friend, well, one of them. "Ten years of a friendship, I would love for it to be more, but why ruin this?" he asked, looking back over when he heard Andrea laugh at Joe. "That was terrible Joe," she said between laughs. "I was distracted," he told her. "By what?" she asked. "Something that you can't see," he told her, causing her to laugh more. "Because, it might be the best thing you would ever do," Nick said, as Andrea took her seat again beside Kevin. "What might be the best thing you ever do?" she asked. "Nah, it was nothing," he told her, as Nick went up to face Joe. She brought her hand up to touch his very curly hair, "I can't believe you stopped straightening it," she told him. He smiled, "I thought I'd try something different, why? Do you not like it?" he asked. She laughed, "I really like it this way, au natural," she told him, bringing her hand back down. "Good," he said. "Joe, you're just really bad at this game," Nick told him. "I'm the winner in my own mind," Joe told them. "Yepp, and that's the only place you'll be the winner of this game," she told him, earning a laugh from everyone in the room, including Joe. "Thanks again for dinner, Mama J," Andrea said later that night, before she was going to leave. "Don't worry about it," she told her giving her a hug. "Alright, children, time for me to head out," she told the guys. "Bye, Rea," Frankie said, hugging her waist. "See you later, Frankie," she said ruffling his curly hair after he pulled away. "See you tomorrow, after school is done for you and such," Nick said hugging her. "Yeah, lucky you, being home schooled," she told him. He smiled before moving over so Joe could hug her. "I shall see you later young lady," he told her. "Joe, you're only a year older then me, don't call me young lady," she told him. "But that's the point, I can call you young lady, because you're a year younger then me," he told her grinning. "Fine, then I can call you old man," she told him, matching his grin. "Agree to do neither?" he asked. "Deal," she said. He nodded and Kevin came over. "O," he said, hugging her. She got on tip toes to kiss his cheek, "X," she said, as he leaned down to kiss hers. "Love you to bits." "Love you to pieces, see you later," she said, before walking out the front door. She started walking over to her house and saw Chandy walking up the front steps. "Amazing timing," Andrea said. Chandler turned around, "That's just how cool we are," she told her, holding onto her notebook and textbook. "Don't wanna study," Andrea said walking over to open the door, and going in followed by Chandler, who were both welcomed by London. "Too late, I'm already here with books and books of math," Chandler said, following her up to her room. Andrea rolled her eyes, "Math makes my head hurt." "Too bad, we're studying," she told her when they were in her room, and she sat on the bed. Andrea went over to where her backpack was, right beside her acoustic and electric guitar, both of which she still had no idea how to play, after the boys got their own instruments, she begged her parents for her own. Tap. Tap. Tap. "Ugh, I was just there," Andrea muttered going over to her window, where she saw Kevin and Joe standing looking at her from their bedroom. She rolled her eyes, while smiling and nodded her head, her way of saying they could come over. "What's going on?" Chandy asked, opening up to a blank page in her notebook. "Time for you to meet some of the crazy Jonas boys," Andrea said moving from her window. "Is that a good thing?" she asked, biting on her pencil. Andrea smiled at her, "It's an awesome thing." Minutes later, the two boys bounded through her door. "Rea! It's been too long!" Joe said jumping to hug her. "Joe! It's been all of ten minutes!" she told him, while hugging him, yet again. "Still, it's long," he said pulling away from her. "Right, well, guys, this is Chandler, Chandy, this is Joe, and Kevin," she said, introducing the three of them. "Hi," she said smiling at both of them. "Nice to meet you," Kevin told her. "Ditto," she said. Joe went over and picked up her electric guitar, and had it like he was going to start playing, but instead he walked over to Chandy and said, "Excuse me, I'm looking for the swimming pool." "What is he doing?" Andrea asked Kevin, who was standing next to her, while Chandler laughed. "Did you ever see Bonus Jonas Time on the Disney channel?" he asked her quietly, she nodded, "This is part of his 'move.'" She rolled her eyes in Joe's direction, but couldn't help but laugh. "Smooth," she said. "So, what is it you two were doing, before we joined you?" Joe asked. "We were going to study for math," Andrea told him. "Oh, so we interrupted then?" Kevin asked. "No, it's Ok, don't worry," Andrea said. "No, no, we'll go, let you study, get good in school and all that," Kevin told her. She smiled, "Ok, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Actually, we'll both probably both see you guys tomorrow," Andrea said pointing to herself and Chandler. "Sounds good," Joe said putting her guitar back, and standing beside Kevin. "See you later," Kevin said, before he and Andrea did their routine, for the third time that day. "Bye, Joe," she said hugging him again. "Bye, it was nice meeting you," he said turning to Chandy, and smiling, she smiled back. "You too, both of you," she told them, before they left. "See, told you they weren't stuck up cocky, rockstars," Andrea told her. "Never doubted you," she told her. "Ok, well, let's talk about these quadratic functions...or, whatever these things are," Andrea said looking over her notes.

Chapter Four "How was everyone's weekend?" Mr. Horton, the math teacher asked the class that Monday morning. Everyone grumbled their responses. "Wow, sounds very interesting. I hope you all found time to study?" he asked. Again, more grumbles from the boys and girls sitting at their desks. "Anyways, let's start this less-" he started, but was interrupted by someone at the classroom door, "Come in," he called, as everyone turned their attention to the door, including Andrea and Chandy. In walked a boy with black hair, that was short and spiked in the back, and semi long and covering his right eye in the front, he had bright blue eyes, and had a shy, nervous grin on his face, he was tall, and skinny. "Can I help you?" Mr. Horton asked. "Yeah, I'm Charlie Roberts, new student," he said walking up to the teacher, and handing him his schedule. Mr. Horton took it and looked it over before nodding and handing it back, "Kids, welcome Charlie to the class, Charlie, you can have the seat behind Andrea. Andrea raise your hand, please." Andrea raised her hand, and gave a friendly smile Charlie's way, who returned it while walking over to his new seat. "So, Charlie, tell us about yourself," Mr. Horton instructed, taking a seat at his desk. All eyes continued to stare at Charlie, as he chuckled nervously. "Well, my name is Charlie, I just moved here a few days ago, my parents got divorced, so I moved here with my dad. I turned seventeen back in June, and...that’s all I suppose," he told everyone. "Well, welcome to Wyckoff High. Andrea, can I trust you to help him out in the class? Get him prepared for Wednesday?" the teacher asked, getting back up from his seat. "Yeah, no problem," she told him. Mr. Horton nodded, "Ok, well, wait until after the lesson. So, class, we're gonna start algebra today, I can see the excitement in all of your faces. So start taking these notes down," he said turning to the blackboard and writing things down. Half an hour later, he was done talking so; Andrea took this as her chance to talk to Charlie. "Hi, Charlie, right? I'm Andrea," she said turning in her seat, and extending her hand. "Nice to meet you," he said shaking it. "You too, so do you want the notes to photocopy or something? We have a test coming up on Wednesday on the quadratic functions, so you'll probably need them," she told him. "Ah, I'm no good at quadratic functions. But yeah, I'll take the notes, it might help," he said smiling. She turned back around to open her binder to the right section. "So?" Chandy asked turning around in her seat to face Andrea. "So, what?" she asked looking up to face her. "What's he like?" she whispered. "I got as far as him not being good at the quadratic stuff," she whispered back, taking out all her notes. Chandy smiled, "He should study with us tonight!" "Maybe," she said before turning back around, "Here you go," she said handing him the stack of papers. "Seems I need to really catch up," he said flipping through the notes. Chandler kicked Andrea's leg, making her flinch. "So, my friend, Chandler," she said pointing behind her, "and I were planning on studying tonight, you could join us if you want. We could help you catch up, help, whatever." His smiled grew, "Yeah, thanks, that'd be awesome." His smile was contagious, "Great, hey, let me see your schedule," she said. He pulled it out of his jeans pocket and handed it to her, she scanned over it then smiled, "We have everything together, so we all get out at the same time." "That's pretty wicked, at lease I'll know people," he told her. Then the bell rang, and everyone made a mad dash to the door, so they wouldn't be late for their next period class. "Do you have a ride home?" Chandy asked, as the three of them made their way outside, after they were done school. "I do actually, my car's over there...somewhere," he said pointing to the area of the parking lot where the students were allowed to park. "Ok, well I have your number, so I'll call you later and tell you what's going on," Andrea told him. "Sounds good, until then," he said waved and turning to walk to his car, he threw another glance over his shoulder in Andrea's direction, before smiling and looking back at the ground. "Well, somebody's got a crush," Chandy said, as she and Andrea walked up to Chandy's car. "No he doesn't," Andrea said rolling her eyes, but waved when Charlie honked the horn as he drove by. "No, of course not," she said smirking. The car ride was filled with the sounds of Snow Patrol and the girls singing for the whole ten minutes drive back to Andrea's house. "Ok, you be here at seven, then we'll go and get Charlie," Andrea said when she was on her driveway and talking to Chandy through the passenger window. "No worries, talk to you soon," she said before pulling out. Andrea turned and walked into her house, to be met by Frankie running and latching himself to her legs. "Whoa," she said stumbling back, "Lift weights while you were on tour with everyone?" she asked as he let go, grinning. "I'm just getting older!" he said, before running back into the living room, and she followed. "Hey, Jonas family," she said when she saw them all sitting in the living room. "Hey, Rossi," Joe said from his seat on the floor. "How was school?" her mom asked. "Eh, the usual. We got a new student, so Chandy and I are gonna help him catch up, especially in math because of that stupid test," she said placing her bag on the ground, "and now I'm gonna squish Kevin," she said walking over to where he was sitting on the couch, and plopped down on his lap, "You're really comfy." "Gee, thanks, I'm glad I could be your human seat," he said as she leaned back into him. "Good, you should be honored," she told him, "So, what's going on?" she asked. "Just came for a visit," Joe said. "Seven months of catching up," Nick said from beside Kevin. "Seven lonely months," Andrea said getting up, and forcing Nick to move over, so she could sit between him and Kevin. "Well, next summer we're gonna be on tour again, you should come with us," Kevin suggested. "That would be amazing! Could I go, mom?" she asked looking over at her. "I don't know that's still a long while away. I'll ask your dad when he gets home." she said. Then the phone started ringing. "Got it," Andrea said reaching to the coffee table to grab it. "Hello?" asked. "Bella!" the women on the other line said, in a heavy Italian accent. "Ciao, Nonna," she said, smiling. "How are you?" she asked. "Good. And yourself?" Andrea answered. "Good. Is your father home?" she asked. "No, he's at work," she told her. "Put your mother on then," she instructed. "Just a second," she said, putting the phone against her shoulder, "It's nonna, she wants you." Her mom got up of the chair she was sitting on, and put her hand out. "Bye, love you nonna," she said, before handing the phone to her mom. A few minutes later her mom hung the phone back up, "What's up?" Andrea asked. "Nothing, just Nonna checking in," her mom told her. "Do you guys wanna play some video games or something?" Andrea asked looking at the Jonas boys. "I thought you would never ask!" Joe exclaimed, jumping up from the floor and running to the basement, or as everyone called it, the game room. "Kevin," Andrea whined as she stood up. "Yeah?" he asked looking back at her. "Carry me?" she asked sweetly. He sighed jokingly, "Fine," he told her. She smiled and jumped on his back, putting her arms around his neck, and he held onto her legs, and carried her out of the living room, and down to the basement before unceremonously dropping her onto the couch down there. "You're lucky it was a soft landing," she said sitting up. "Aww, you know I would never hurt you," Kevin said as Nick came down, followed by Frankie. "I hope that's true," she said. "You know it is," he said, with his hazel eyes sparkling. Several hours, several video games, piggy back rides, and one fantastic dinner later, it was almost seven at night, and the Jonas family was heading out. "I'm gonna miss you," she sang as she hugged Nick. "Yeah, next door seems so far away," he said smiling. "Well, it is, it's a whole twenty feet away," she said going over to Joe. "Don't be surprised if you hear tapping later on," Joe told her. "That would never surprise me, but, we're gonna be studying," she warned. "Do I look like a distraction?" he asked doing a little spin. She looked him over, "Yeah, pretty much." "Don't worry, if we come back, I'll make sure he just sits there and lets you study," Kevin said, walking over to her. "That would be perfect," she said hugging him, then kissing his cheek, and she got one too. "Love you to bits," he sang to her. She laughed, "Love you to pieces," she sang back. They let go and he headed out with his family, but turned back, and blew a kiss at her, she smiled as he turned back and started walking away. "Let's try and find this boys house," Chandy said, when they were in the car, and looking for number 254 on Mount Albion Road. "Ok, there's number 240," Andrea said pointing out the window, "So, it'll be on my side." A minute later Andrea yelled for Chandy to stop, "There is it," she said, pointing at the modest two storey brick house, with the two cars in the driveway. Chandy pulled up in front of the house, and Andrea got out and went up to the front door and knocked, moments later a man with brown hair, and the same bright blue eyes as Charlie, came and opened it. "Can I help you?" he asked. "Hi, I'm Andrea; I'm here to get Charlie. My friend and I are gonna help him with the math test coming up," she said. "Oh, right. He told me about you, he's really looking forward to it, yeah, I know excited about studying weird right? He doesn't make friends that easily, and he's been pretty depressed about the divorce and stuff, so thanks for helping him, it really means a lot. I'll get him, just a second," he said, before turning from the door to get him. Only a few moments later, Charlie came to the door, smiling upon seeing Andrea there, he came out and closed the door, readjusting the bag on his shoulder. "Thanks for coming," he said, walking with her to Chandy's car. "It's no problem, really, don't worry about it," she said, opening the passenger door, as Charlie got in the backseat. "Hey, Charlie," Chandy said, turning to wave to him. "Hey, thanks for picking me up," he said, doing up his seatbelt. "No worries, now, let's head over to Rea's," she said, as she started driving again. "Welcome to the casa," Andrea said, as she led Chandy and Charlie into her house. "Wow, it's really nice," he said looking around. She smiled over at him, "Thanks, do you guys want anything to drink?" "I do!" Chandy said, already walking over to the kitchen. London came over and started sniffing around Charlie's feet, "Sorry, she does that to new people," Andrea said, pulling the dog away. He laughed, "No, don't worry about it, I love dogs," he told her. "Come on, let's get something to drink," she said letting go of the dog, and leading Charlie to the kitchen, where Chandy was still pondering over what to drink, then pulling out a bottle of Iced Tea. "What do you want?" Andrea asked him. "I'll just have a water," he said, she grabbed two and handed one to him. "Alright, well, follow me," she said, but when she turned around she saw her dad standing behind her, "Hey, dad, this is Charlie, he's new, so Chandy and I are gonna help him with school and such." "That's nice. Well, it's nice to meet you," Leo said putting his hand out, and Charlie shook it. "Nice to meet you too, you have a great house," he said. "Well, I try," her mom joked walking into the kitchen. "Mom, this is Charlie," she said introducing him. They shook hands as well. "Well, we better get started, we'll be up in my room," she said, walking over to stairs, with the other two following her. Chandy took a spot on the bed, Charlie took the floor, and Andrea took her desk, they started talking about math, when the usual tapping noise filled the room. "Sorry, it's my neighbors," Andrea said, getting up and going over to her window, pulling the curtains back, and nodding at the awaiting boys, "They're gonna come over, hope that's alright with you two." "Oh, yeah, yeah, that's fine," Chandy answered, rather quickly. Andrea couldn't help but snicker, "Excited are we?" she asked. Chandy only smiled in response. Then they heard them running up the stairs, and coming through her open door. "Hello, everyone, and person I don't know," Joe said, upon seeing Charlie, who got that nervous grin on his face. "Guys, this is Charlie Roberts, he's new," she told them, "Charlie, this is Kevin and Joe Jonas, two of my best friends, since forever." They exchanged quick hellos. "Now, what's all this?" Joe asked, sitting beside Chandy and picking up on of her notes, "Math. You won't need it later in life." "You never know, Joe," Andrea said. "You're a poet and you didn't even know it," Joe and Chandy said together, then looked at each other and smiled. "Oh no, it's another Joe," Kevin said dramatically. Andrea noticed that Charlie was looking a bit uncomfortable, so she got on the ground and sat beside him, and gave him a reassuring smile, "Don't worry, they're really nice." "I'm just really shy," he told her. "Don't worry about it, hang around with us long enough, you'll come out of your shell," she told him. "I hope I do get to hang out with you more," he said shyly, and looked down, to hide his red cheeks. She smiled, and looked at him, but failed to notice Kevin watching them, a mixture of jealousy and sadness evident in his eyes.

Chapter Five Wednesday morning came, along with the math test, which Andrea, Chandler, and Charlie got together for early that morning to study for along with the previous night. "So, I think I passed, barely," Chandy said walking out that afternoon when the three of them were done school. Andrea nudged her shoulder, "Come on, we studied, I'm sure we passed, and if we didn't...well then we'll have fun during summer school." "This was the first time I actually knew what I was writing down on a math test," Charlie told the other two. "Ahh, hold on," Chandy said, pulling her vibrating cell phone out of her pocket, and walked a little ahead. "Thanks for your help," he told her. "No problem, anything to help, really," she said, smiling at him. "But I really appreciate it, so, in return, could I umm, take you out?" he asked, daring a look at her, out of the corner of his eye. "Like a date?" she asked, he nodded, "That would be great." "Really? Ok, awesome. Great, yeah, well I'll pick you up tonight then. How's eight?" he asked, with his very contagious smile on his face. "Eight sounds great, you remember how to get to my house, right?" she asked. "Yeah, I have it memorized," he said, pointing to his head. She laughed slightly, "Ok, so I'll see you tonight," she said. "Yeah, see you soon," he said, before walking over to his car. Andrea was left standing there for a few moments before Chandy came back, "He's gone?" "Mhmm, yeah," she said, smiling as Charlie drove his car by, then out onto the road. Chandler looked at her friend staring where Charlie's car had just left, "What's going on?" she asked. "Nothing, I'm just gonna go out with Charlie tonight," she told her. "Really?" she asked grinning, "Sounds fun," she said, as they started walking over to her car. "I think it'll be fun," Andrea said, opening her door and stepping in. "Talk to you later, call me after you come home, I don't care what time," Chandy shouted out the window to Andrea. "Will do," she said, as she stated walking up the pathway to her front door. "Rea!" someone shouted. She turned her head in the direction of the Jonas house and saw Nick standing just outside the front door. "Hey, Nicky, what're you doing?" she asked, crossing over her lawn to his. "Grabbing the mail, just getting home, right?" he asked. "Yeah, long school day," she said. He smiled and nodded, "I really missed you when we were gone." "I missed you too, Nicky. How are you feeling?" she asked, gently touching his shoulder. "I'm fine, really. I'm on my meds and stuff, I was really scared when it was going on," he told her. She nodded slightly, "I can only imagine. I...I was so freaked out when I heard, I knew you were gonna be fine, but still." "I had God on my side," he said, taking a glance up at the sky. "Always, and you know you've got my and my family, and of course your family," she told him. "I know, that really means a lot. So, what are you up to today?" he asked. "Well, I'm going out with Charlie tonight, my friend from school," she told him. His face fell a bit, "Oh, so a date then?" "Yeah." "Oh...I think I should head in, give my parents that mail," he said, holding up the letters he was holding. "Ok, I'll see you later," she said, giving him a quick hug, then headed back over to her house. "So, I have some news," her dad told her, when she walked in. "And what would that be?" she asked, putting her bag down, and walking into the kitchen. "The new restaurant is opening soon," he told her, happily. "Dad, that's awesome! How soon is soon?" she asked. "Like two weeks soon," he said. "Wow, I didn't know it was that far along," she said in disbelief. "Yeah, it's incredible. Ready to hear the name we decided on?" he asked. "Of course," she told him. "Rea Rossi," he said, clapping his hands together. She stared at him, with her mouth slightly open, "Are you serious?" "A hundred percent, I thought you'd like that," he said, putting his hands on either side of her face. "Dad, that really means a lot to me, thanks," she said, grinning. "Of course. I thought it would make you happy," he told her. "I'm gonna go next door and tell the guys, I'm so excited," she said, moving in to hug him. "Alright, and tell them that they're all invited," he said, after he pulled away. She nodded and left the house. "So," Kevin started, after Nick came into his and Joe's room and told him about Andrea and Charlie, "They're going on a date?" "That's what I said, dude," Nick said, flopping back onto Joe's bed. "She said date?" he asked. "Yes, Kevin, for the tenth time, when I asked if it was a date, she said yes," he told him. "I told you, you shouldn't have waited," Joe said, looking up from the notebook he was doodling in. "What was I suppose to do? Tell her that I was in love with her when she was seven? That woulda went over well," Kevin snapped back. "Fine, not when she was seven, but what was wrong when she was thirteen, or between then to now?" Nick asked. Kevin had no response to it. "Exactly, you have no excuse. You should just do it," Joe told him. Kevin let out a breath he was holding, "It just not that simple," he said, grabbing a picture frame from his nightstand. The frame could hold two photos, both were of fourteen year old Kevin, and an eleven year old Andrea, he was in a black tux, and she was in a white gown. That day was Andrea's aunt Nicole wedding day, Andrea was the flower girl, and Kevin and his family were guests. Kevin basically dragged Andrea over to have their picture taken together. "Come on," he said dragging her by her arm.
"But, Joe and I were eating the cake," she whined, pointing back to where Joe was sitting, his face covered in icing.
"But I wanted to have our picture taken," he told her.
She looked between Joe and Kevin for a few seconds, before nodding at Kevin, allowing herself to be led to where his dad and her dad were standing with their cameras.
"Dad!" he yelled, "Take our picture!"
"Alright, son," he said, pointing his camera at the pair while he put his arm around her, and she put hers around him, "Smile."
"One more, dad," he said.
He nodded bringing the camera back up, at the last second, Kevin leaned down and kissed her cheek which his dad captured at the perfect second. The next second, Andrea was giggling uncontrollably.
"What are you laughing about?" he asked.
"You're always kissing my cheek," she said.
"That's why we have the XO though," he told her.
"I know, but I wasn't planning on you doing it right then," she said.
"Paul, I think I'll want a copy of both photos," her dad said.
"They do make a cute couple," Paul said, laughing as Andrea ran from Kevin back to Joe to get more cake, with Kevin following closely, looking at her with a faint smile in his lips. "Hello, boys," Andrea said, walking into the Joe and Kevin's room, and sitting beside Kevin on his bed, "That's such an old picture." "They're still good though," he said, putting the frame back on his nightstand. "Yeah, but it was like, six years ago," she said. "So, Rea, hear you're going on a date," Joe said, moving his eyes away from his doodling. "You heard correctly," she told him. "Like, omgeee what are you gonna wear?" he asked, imitating a girls voice, causing her and his brothers to laugh. "Well, I was planning on wearing clothes," she stated. "I think that is a good start," Nick told her. "It's with Charlie, right?" Kevin asked. "Yeah," she said. "Oh, well, don't you think he's a little...short for you?" he asked. "Short? Kevin, he's like, half an inch taller then you," she said slowly. Kevin glanced over at his brothers for help, but, both holding back laughter, just shook their heads at him. "Anyways," she started, dismissing the Charlie talk, "my dad said that the new restaurant is opening in two weeks, and you three, your parents and Frankie are invited." "That's awesome!" Joe said. "Do you guys wanna hear the name?" they nodded, "Rea Rossi!" "That's your name," Joe stated. The other three gave him a look and shook their heads. "Yeah, Joe, I realized that. Stay with me on this, my dad named the restaurant after me," she said. "Oh! That's awesome!" Joe said, jumping off the bed. "So, you guys are gonna be there, right?" she asked. "Wouldn't miss it," Nick told her. "Alright, fantastic. I’m gonna head home, but, pass it along to your parents and Frankie. I'll talk to you guys later," she said, standing up. She gave Nick and Joe a hug, which he jumped on her for. Then got to Kevin, they embraced, and gave each other a kiss on the cheek. She was walking to the bedroom door when Kevin stopped her. "Love you to bits, Andy," he told her. She smiled and turned to look at him, "Love you to pieces, Kevin," she said before leaving the room. Kevin turned and looked at his brothers, "If only she meant it the way that I do." "You're gonna be there, right?" Andrea asked later that night, when she was talking to Chandler on the phone. "Yes, for the ten billionth time, I’m going to be there," she said. "Alright, alright, just making sure. Don't want you to flake out on it or something," Andrea said. "Who else is going to be there?" she asked. "Obviously me and my parents. I'm not sure if nonna and nono are gonna fly in. Umm, I think some other relatives, the Jonas'," Andrea started listing them off. "As in, all the Jonas family then," Chandler asked casually. "As in, Mama and Papa J, Kevin, Joe, Nick and Frankie," she told her, "Do you care which Jonas people are going to be there?" "Well, I mean, they're your friends, I was just wondering," she said. "Oh my Jonas, you like one of the Jonas boys. It can't be Nick or Frankie, Frankie's only seven, and Nick's only fifteen, unless you like the fifteen year old boys or something," Andrea said, getting excited. "No! It's not Frankie or Nick," she told her quickly. "Ha! So you do like a Jonas boy! Either Kevin or Joe," Andrea then stated. "Fine, its Joe, does that make you happy?" Chandler told her. "You have no idea. I believe it's time for me to play match maker, yes, yes. It will be fun," Andrea said. "Andrea!" her dad yelled from downstairs, "Charlie's here." "Charlie's here. I'll call you later. I'm gonna make a plan for you and Joe and you're gonna like it." "I really have no say in this, do I?" Chandler asked. "How right you are, my friend. Talk to you later," Andrea sang, before hanging up. Andrea went downstairs and saw Charlie standing by the door, and her dad standing not too far away, giving him the eye. "So, are we ready?" Andrea asked when she reached him. "Absolutely," Charlie said. "Ok, bye dad," Andrea said, going over for a hug. "Bye, Rea. Have her back by eleven thirty," her dad said, looking at Charlie. "Will do, sir," he said, before opening the door for her. "Sorry, my dads really...weird like that," she apologized, as he led her to his old Honda Civic. "No it's ok, I understand," he said, opening her door. She got in, and he closed her door, and then went around to his side, Andrea looked out the window and saw Kevin standing by his living room window, she smiled and gave him a wave which he half heartedly returned. "That was actually a pretty good movie," Charlie said after they walked out of the theatre where they saw, Across the Universe. "The music was amazing, I'm going to buy that soundtrack," Andrea said smiling, as he once again led her to the car. "I'm glad you liked it," he told her, becoming shy again. She continued to smile as she got in the car, and waited for him to get in. "What are we doing now?" she asked. "How about we get something to eat, then I’ll take you home," Charlie suggested. "Sounds good to me," she said, as he started driving. "You've never eaten this before?" Charlie asked, at a sushi restaurant. "Kevin's obsessed with the stuff, he's always tried to get me to eat it, but I've just never been able to," she told him. "It's not as bad as you would think, just give it a try," Charlie said, moving his plate closer to hers. She cringed and gulped, before nodding her head; Charlie smiled and put a piece of his sushi beside her food. She took it with her chopsticks and took a bite of it, holding her nose. "Release the nose," Charlie said laughing. She looked over at him and nodded, she moved her hand from her nose, and continued chewing. "Why has Kevin never forced me to eat this stuff? It's good," she said. "See, told you, you would like it," he said. She smiled over at him, as he smiled back to her. "This was fun," she said, when they reached her front porch. "I'm happy you had fun," he said. "So, I'll see you tomorrow then," she told him. "Yeah," was all he said, before leaning down and kissing her cheek, "Bye, Andrea." She smiled, "Bye, Charlie," she said, before he started walking back to his car and getting in. She walked inside and leaned against the door for a few seconds before walking up to her room. "Hello?" Chandler asked when she finally picked up her phone. "Hey, it's Andrea," she said. "How was it?" Chandler asked. "Amazing," she told her, putting her hand over the spot where Charlie kissed her.

Chapter Six "Haha! I'm getting married!" Joe said in a sing song voice, throwing the card down. "Joe, it's a board game, relax a bit," Nick told him. "Yeah, but I'm still getting married in the game of Life," he said happily. It was Saturday morning and Andrea, Kevin, Joe and Nick decided, and by decided that meant Joe whining, to play the game of Life outside on Andrea's porch. "I don't want to play anymore," she said getting up from the ground. "Oh come on. You're just mad because you're living in the shack!" Joe exclaimed. "Shush. I don't want to play, because I'm bored. Like Nick has said, board games make me bored," she said, looking down at the boys. "Maybe you're just boring," Joe said, smirking. "Maybe you're boring, that's why I'm bored," she retorted. Kevin and Nick were looking between the two of them with amused smiles on their faces. Joe got up and looked at her, "I, Joseph Adam Jonas am not boring," he told her. She sighed and ruffled his hair, "Fine, you're not boring, just the game. So, let's do something else. Really, we've been playing this game for over an hour, and it's almost lunchtime." "Well, what do you want to do then?" Nick asked, standing up along with Kevin. "I don't know, hence, why I'm asking for suggestions," she told the three of them. "Why don't we go to the mall?" Kevin asked. Andrea's cell phone started going off, she picked it up from the ground and opened the new text message from Charlie. "The mall sounds good because-" she said sending a text back, "Charlie has to go there and pick out a birthday gift for his mom. He's going to visit her next weekend." "So, Charlie is going?" Kevin asked slowly. "Yeah," she said, hitting the send button. "Hey, why don't you invite Chandler, can't be leaving people out now can we?" Joe asked. "No, because we were not raised that way Joseph Jonas," she told him smirking. "Ok, well, you wait here for Charlie and Chandy, and...we'll be right back," Nick said, dragging Kevin and Joe away, down her front porch. "Um, alright, we'll take my dad's Saturn, they'll be enough room for all of us," she told them. The boys nodded and hurried over to their house, where they ran inside. "I cannot believe this," Kevin said, pacing back and forth in the living room. "Just relax, they're not even dating," Nick told him. "Yeah, but still, it's only a matter of time. He's not stupid, he can see how amazing she is," Kevin said. "Do you want to know what will make you feel better?" Joe asked. Kevin stopped mid step and looked at him, "Anything." "A JoBro hug," he said, going over and giving Kevin a brotherly hug. "How was that suppose to make me feel better?" Kevin asked, after Joe pulled away. "Honestly? So that you wouldn't look out the window," Joe told him. Kevin turned and looked out the living room window, while Nick hit Joe across the head, muttering 'Moron' under his breath. Charlie was outside with Andrea giving her a piggy back ride, and twirling her around, with her head thrown back laughing. He turned and looked back at his brothers, "That's what we always do," he said, before heading back to the front door, with Joe and Nick following. "What would she like?" Andrea asked Charlie while everyone was walking around the mall. "She always says that she won't care, as long as it's from me, so anything really," he said. "Ok, well, what's her favorite store?" Andrea asked, as she continued leading him through the very familiar New Jersey mall, with Kevin, Joe, Nick and Chandler not far behind them. "She really likes the Royal Dalton, is there one here?" he asked, looking around, and flipping the hair out of his eyes. "There is actually, it's just a little farther down," she said, using their linked hand to point in the direction they were walking. "I mean, come on Kevin, it's pretty obvious, and I've only known you for a week," Chandler said quietly, so Andrea and Charlie wouldn't hear. "Why is it so obvious to everyone, but it's not obvious to the one person I want it to be obvious to?" he asked. "Ok, Joe be careful in here, you break it you buy it," Andrea said, turning to face the others when they reached the store. "What are you talking about? Careful is my middle name...you know, besides Adam," Joe said. "Sure it is, Joe. Sure it is," Andrea said, smirking. "What? I am car-" he started before hitting a vase with his elbow, which he caught just in time. "See?" Andrea asked, while everyone laughed. "My hands are just going to stay right in my pockets," he said, sticking his hands in his front jeans pockets. Later that afternoon, they were done shopping, and Andrea was driving everyone back home, dropping Charlie off first. "I'm gonna walk you up," Andrea said, getting out of the drivers seat, while Charlie got out of the passenger seat. "Thanks for going with me, and your friends too," he said, on the way to the door. "No problem, it was fun, and I'm happy you found the vase, she'll love it," she told him. "Yeah, I think so too," he said, when they reached the door, "So, I'll talk to you soon." "Soon," she agreed smiling. He smiled back, and looked into her eyes, letting his eyes wander down to her mouth for just a split second; she smiled wider and took his free hand in hers. He leaned down, and gave her a gentle kiss which only lasted a few seconds, then he pulled away. Unknown to them, the car full of people was watching. "Tell me that this is just a horrible nightmare and I'm going to wake up, and Andrea and I will actually be together," Kevin said looking out the window. "I...I'm so sorry, Kevin," Chandler told him. "Dude, I really never thought-" Joe started. "That they would do that," Kevin said, still watching as they pulled apart. "Everything will turn out, however it's meant to," Nick said, as Andrea came walking back to the car. "That doesn't make me feel better," Kevin said in a harsh whisper as she opened the front door. She smiled and turned in her seat to look at them, "Is someone going to hop up here?" "I will," Chandy said, getting the door open. After dropping off Chandler, Andrea drove back to her house, and pulled into her driveway, turned the car off and got out, along with the boys. "So, this was fun," she said, leaning against the car. "Tons," Kevin said under his breath. "I should be getting in," she said, motioning to the house. "Alright, Rea, we'll talk to you later," Joe said, going over for a hug. "Sounds good, danger," she told him. "Oh, childhood nicknames, snowflake," he said, breaking the hug. "Come here, curls," she said, pulling Nick to her for a hug. "Do you have to call me curls? I thought that was done," he said. "Oh, little Nicholas, that name will never die," she told him, pulling apart. He smiled and nodded, "I would never want it to die." "Your turn, Sherlock," she said, as Kevin walked over to her. "I'll talk to you soon," he told her, putting his arms around her shoulders. "Of course," she said, pulling away and looking up at him. He nodded sullenly before turning to walk away. "Kevin?" she asked softly. "Yeah?" he asked turning around. "What about the X?" she asked. He sighed and looked down at his boot clad feet, and shook his curly head, "I'm just tired, so...not tonight." "Oh," she said dejectedly. He saw the look on her face, of hurt and sadness, and knowing he was the one that put it there, killed him a little inside. "But, no matter how tired I am, I could never skip it," he told her. She smiled and went over to where he was standing, getting on her tiptoes to place a kiss on his cheek, and he bent down to kiss hers. "Love you to bits," he said. "Love you to pieces," she said happily, before waving at the other two, turning around and walking back over to her house. "It's Ok, Kevin," Nick said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Everything will turn out alright," Joe told him. Kevin shook his head once again, "I really want to believe you guys, you have no idea how much I want to believe that."

Wow, how long as it been? Haha, anyways, here it is =] Chapter seven After two weeks, Andrea and Charlie were still seeing each other, unofficially. Kevin made a point not to be in any room when Charlie was brought up, if he was brought up, he would change the subject, if he called Andrea when they were together, he would distract himself, if he would come over when Kevin was there, he would leave. So, as the night of the restaurant opening came, Andrea and Chandler were getting ready at Andrea's house. "I'm not going to give him that," Chandler told her. "Oh come on, Joe loves these things, it would make his night," Andrea told her friend. "Yeah, but it's just very...awkward," she told her. "It's a Baby Bottle Pop, it's not awkward," Andrea said, throwing the candy over to her. Chandler picked it up from where it landed in her lap, and eyed it, "Are you sure?" she asked. "Positive, trust me," she told her. "Fine. So, Charlie's coming?" Chandler asked, while putting the candy in her purse. Andrea smiled and nodded, "Yeah, he should be here-" "Andrea! Charlie's here. And we need to be leaving!" her dad yelled from downstairs. "Very perfect timing," she said, and she and Chandler made for the door. The two girls laughed as they headed downstairs, where Charlie was standing in the main hallway a bottle of wine in one hand, and a dozen white roses in the other. "Hey," Andrea said, walking over to him. "Hey. Um, this is for your parents, my dad thought it would be nice to get something for them, on account of the restaurant opening," he said, handing her the bottle. She laughed lightly at the gesture, "Thanks," she said, taking it from him, "Daddy, Charlie got this for you and mom, as a congratulations gift," she said, when he came over to get his jacket. He took it and looked down at the year, "'77, good year, thank-you." "No problem," Charlie told him, "And these are for you," he said, handing her the roses. "You really didn't have to. But I'm glad you did," she told him, taking the bouquet and smelling them. "Of course," he smiled, then shook his head to move his hair out of his eye. "I'll take those and put them in water," her mom said. Andrea handed her the roses, and watched as she walked away. "Are you ready? The limo's here," her dad said, peaking out the window. "I am," Chandler piped up. The five of them walked outside, Andrea's dad turned to lock the door just as the Jonas family came out of their house. "Hey guys," Andrea called over to them. Joe put his hands around his mouth, "Hello there Rea!" Andrea laughed, and grabbed Charlie's hand dragging him down the front path to the sidewalk, "No need to yell Joseph, I don't think she's deaf," she heard Kevin say. "Well, now she might be," Nick interjected. "Okay, come one, I don't want to be late to my own restaurant opening," her dad said, opening the limo door, letting everyone get inside before he did, then closing the door. The ride there was uneventful, just small talk happening between everyone, Andrea sat beside Charlie, and had her head resting on his shoulder, with his hand gently rubbing her bare arm. While Kevin would look over every so often, and scowl without either of them knowing. "Here we are," her dad said, somewhat nervously. They all climbed out of the limo, and walked into the restaurant, when they walked in, they all felt that homey and Italian feel, music playing over the speakers, and long tables set up, and people laughing and talking everywhere. "Leo!" someone shouted from across the room. "Ciao Rosa," he said, hugging one of Andrea's aunts. "Bella Andrea," she said, coming over to her. "Zia Rosa," she said, hugging her, "You remember the Jonas family?" "Oh, of course," she smiled. "These are my friends, Chandler, and Charlie," she told her. "It's nice to meet you," Rosa told the two of them, "Where is she...Kami, come here." A teenage girl with long black hair, and dark brown eyes came over, a smile placed on her pretty face. "Kami! How are you?" Andrea asked, giving her fifteen year old cousin a hug. "I'm good, it's been so long," Kami told her. "Well, you remember everyone? And these are Chandler and Charlie, this is my cousin Kami," Andrea said, making introductions. "Yeah, it's nice to meet you. And nice to see you guys again," Kami smiled at them. "Kami, come say hi to nonna," Rosa said, Kami nodded and waved, before walking away with her mom. "You didn't tell me she was going to be here," Nick told Andrea, watching Kami walk away. "I didn't know," she defended. "She's so pretty," he said, watching her hug Andrea's grandparents. "Ahh, young love," Andrea said, smiling. "Rea, everyone, it's time to eat," her dad said, motioning for them to the table. They walked over and took seats, Andrea placed between Charlie and Kevin. They ate a traditional Italian meal soup, salad, pasta and cannoli for dessert. "Now what?" Charlie asked, confused as everyone got up and moved to the center of the room. "Well, everyone is going to you know, party and whatnot. Dance," she told him. "Dance?" he asked uncertainly. "Dance," she confirmed. "Well, what are we waiting for then?" Joe asked, standing up, and throwing his napkin on his very clean plate, then grabbing Chandy's hand, who smiled and allowed him to lead her to the dance floor. "Nicky, go ask Kami to dance," Andrea said, leaning over Kevin to talk to him. He blushed and looked down shaking his head. "Kami!" Andrea shouted, causing her cousin to turn from where she was walking to the dance floor. "Yeah?" she asked walking closer to them. "Why don't you and Nick dance?" she asked, thrusting her thumb in Nick's direction. "Is he going to get up?" she smiled. "Of course he will, won't you Nick?" she asked. He gave her a sidelong look, then stood up, and small smile on his lips, "Yeah, let's go." So he and Kami went up. "Alright, two Jonas boys down, one to go," Andrea said, smirking at Kevin. "No, no you're not making me get up to dance with anyone," he told her. "Come on Kevin, I have like, twenty cousins. And look, even Frankie is getting more action then you," she told him, pointing to where Frankie was dancing with one of Andrea's younger cousins. "Andy, just...no," he told her. "Alright, alright. Then you stay here like a bump on a log, Charlie and I are going out there," she said standing up and taking Charlie's hand, who reluctantly got up. "Are we?" he asked, nervously. "Don't be worried," she said, tightening her grip on his hand. They walked onto the dance floor just as How do I live by LeAnn Rime began to play. So Andrea put her hands around his neck, and he put his arms around her waist. Kevin looked on at them, a frown gracing his features. "It's just so weird," Denise commented to Paul, Leo, and Lisa a short ways from Kevin. "What is?" Paul asked. "I just always thought that it would be Kevin and Andrea together," she told them. "So did I, it always seemed like it," Lisa agreed. "Life can be weird sometimes," Leo said, as Charlie leaned down and kissed Andrea's forehead. "I just want to say, that I am so proud of my dad. He deserves all of this; he is such a great man. I feel so blessed to have him as a father, and so honored that he would name this restaurant after me. Congratulations, daddy. I love you," Andrea said to the crowd, as the night was coming to a close. Everyone cheered, and took a drink of whatever they had. "Thank-you sweetie. I feel so honored to have you as my daughter, know that I love you with all my heart. To my wife, Lisa, I love you so much. To my family, many of whom flew out from Italy to come here for this, thank-you so much, I love you all. The Jonas family for coming out here, thank-you for the support and love you’ve given. So, thanks for coming, drive safe," he said into the microphone, while everyone clapped. "Ready to go?" he whispered to Andrea. "Yeah," she told him. They gathered the one's that were coming into the limo with them and made their way out, and climbed in. "Again, congratulations, Leo," Denise told him, once they were back in front of Andrea's house. "Thanks so much for coming, guys. It meant a whole lot," he told them. "I should be getting home, but again, congrats Mr. Rossi, it was a lot of fun," Chandler told him. "Thanks for coming," he told her. "Hey, I'll walk you," Joe said, as Chandler began making her way to the sidewalk, "I won't be long," he told his parents. "Hey, um, Andrea, can I talk to you really quick?" Charlie asked. "Yeah sure," she smiled, and led him up to her porch, while the other stayed on the front lawn talking. "I didn't want to do this at the restaurant, but I just wanted to know if you wanted to..." he trialed off. "To what?" she asked. "Be my girlfriend?" he asked "Yes!" she squealed, and hugged him. "Thank goodness," he sighed, as he hugged her back. She pulled back and gave him a short but sweet kiss, then walked back down to the others. "I should be heading home," Charlie told everyone. "Thanks for coming, Charlie," her dad told him, shaking his hand. "Thank-you for having me," he said, smiling at both Leo and Lisa, "And it was nice seeing you guys again," he said, smiling over at the Jonas family. "You too," Denise smiled. Charlie smiled and gave Andrea another short kiss, before walking over to his car and getting in, just as Joe walking back onto their lawn. "Well, I think we're gonna head in Frankie seemed to party himself out," Paul said motioning his head to the sleeping seven year old, "Are you boys just going to be a few minutes more?" he asked his sons. "Yeah, we won't be long," Nick told them. "Alright, see the rest of you tomorrow," Denise said, and she and Paul both turned and walked over to their home. "We're gonna head in too, be in soon," Lisa told Andrea. "I will," she told them. Then both her parents went in. "What's up?" Nick asked her. She smiled, "Charlie asked me to be his girlfriend." There was an uncomfortable silence for a few moments, "Well, that's nice," Joe said. "Yeah, well, um, I think I'm gonna head in now too, I'm pretty tired," she told them. "Alright," Nick said, and hugged her. Then moved over to Joe to hug him. "Come on, Kevy," she smiled, opening her arms. He gave her a quick hug, then pulled away, "Come on, X," she said. "Don't you think we're a little old for that?" he asked. "We weren't old earlier today for it," she said. "Well...maybe we should grow up from it," he told her. She looked up at him, "What's your deal, Kevin?" "Nothing, I just think we should grow up a bit," he told her, then turned to walk away. "What's his problem?" she asked to Joe and Nick, and loud enough for the walking Kevin to hear. "Don't worry about him," Nick said, pulling her into another hug. "I'm...I'm gonna go, I'll see you guys tomorrow," she told them, pulling away from Nick. They both nodded, and followed the way Kevin went back to their house, and Andrea headed into her house.
