I don't know if I'm going to keep the title, but as of right now, that's what I"m calling it ;D
[glow=red,2,300]She groaned loudly.
"Dad....when are we going to get a car that isn't older than ME?!?!?" Satine asked. At seventeen years of age, she knew better than to complain, but it was rather embarrassing.
"Come on hon. this is a classic." He said smacking the head board of the car, causing the radio to turn off. She glared at him for a moment, then once the car stopped at the stop light, she opened the door of their 1987 blue-gray Honda Accord and slammed it shut. The radio came back on. She leaned back in her chair exasperated. It collapsed back-wards.
"You've got to be kidding me." She said annoyed as she got up and fixed her hair.
"Calm down, Satine. We're here." Her father said as he pulled into his assigned parking space.
Satine put up the hood of her jacket so it covered her face.
"What are you doing?" Her dad asked.
"I don't want anyone to see me getting out of this thing." She said simply. She tucked her red curls in her hoodie and got out of the car.
"So dad," Satine began as she put her hood down, figuring she was at a safe distance from their car.
"Why did you want me to come in with you today?" She asked.
"Well there's a band playing that I thought that you'd be interested in." He said.
"Who would that be?" She asked.
Satine had tanned skin, and dark brown eyes.
"Their called the Jonas Brothers." Her dad said casually.
"You mean THE Jonas Brothers? Disney Channel, Camp Rock, multi-millionaires? THOSE Jonas Brothers?" She asked.
"Those are the ones. My boss was really excited they're coming. He told me that tickets sold out in less than ten minutes." Her dad said as he began punching in a code to get backstage.
Satine, who, had liked the Jonas Brothers very much when they first came out, but had started to sort of fall away from them and Disney. She felt like they were making fifteen year olds into spoiled, bratty, millionaires. But, none the less, she was still happy to get out and do something out of the ordinary.
"Is there a catch?" She asked her father questioningly.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Come on, dad. You never bring me here. There must be SOME sort of catch. What, do you need help with?" Satine asked her father. Satine was the spitting image of him. Their only difference was their eyes. His were a dark green, were as hers matched her mothers dark brown eyes perfectly.
"Well I could use your help picking up some of the trash in the auditorium after-wards."
"Done." She said smiling.
"The concert starts in a few minutes. Go enjoy yourself. I've got to go clock in." He said as he began walking down a hall backstage.
"Okay. Love you." She said. She glanced down at her outfit. She was wearing a violet colored hoodie that had music notes with small rhinestones on it with a pair of jeans she'd bought from Wet Seal the week before with her babysitting money.
She glanced around. She didn't see anyone. She looked in her purse. She pulled out her mom's old phone that she'd given her. It read 6:59. She guessed the concert started at seven. She walked down a hall, and then opened a heavy door that she remembered lead to the stage. She heard loud screams of what sounded like a million girls as she heard one of the boys talking. She couldn't make out their words. She decided to stand behind the back curtain. That way she wouldn't get in the way, but she could still see.
"It may be cold outside, but in here, it's Burnin' Up! Hit it Garbo!" She heard Kevin say.
They began playing the song. She bobbed up and down to the music. It wasn't necessarily her usual style. She was more into the Beatles, Elton John, and other older kind of music, but she still liked it.
She saw the boys' wave and head backstage as the band continued to play. The stage crew gave Nick his electric guitar and took his acoustic. Kevin and Joe were ripping the sleeves off their shirts. No one appeared to notice her. A minute later, the went back on stage.
"We decided," Nick said over the screaming.
"That we couldn't leave without taking you to..." He said as he started playing.
"-To the year three thousand!"
"He said I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed, but they lived underwater
And your great-great-great-granddaughter
is doing fine
Doing fine..."
The curtains closed and the walked off the stage. Right where she was standing...[/glow]
