FLY WITH ME.
Disclaimer: I do not own or have any officiation with the J.B, i made up the characters and this is all fiction, fiction fiction (But i was it was true). ;D
Chapter one
“You’re actually going?” Rainer asked me as I pulled my suitcase out of my wardrobe; I felt the adrenaline running around my body as I tried to calm myself down.
“Yeah I think it’s the right thing to do, we’ve been so close for the last couple years and we’ve never met face to face.”
“Well it’s not like you don’t know who he is or anything.” Rainer shrugged sarcastically. “I suppose it could be worse, it could be someone who is posing as someone else.” Rainer sat on my bed as I unzipped my suitcase.
“I know it’s crazy, but he invited me to the wedding and even offered to pay for the ticket over, how could I ever say no to that?” I asked her opening my wardrobe.
“You couldn’t, I just wonder why it was so close to the actual date, he could have at least given you warning you talk everyday it just seems strange to me.” Rainer frowned as I shrugged not really ready at all too over think it. I just honestly wanted to get out of the country.
“He didn’t know that I had quit my job until a week ago, I didn’t really want to tell him, plus he was so busy with all his other stuff.”
“And you didn’t want to worry him.” Rainer added as I took in a deep breath.
“Yeah that too, but now that I’m going I get to see him and his family, things might be different.” I began to breathe heavily. “Rainer, I think I’m going to pass out.” I told her as Rainer got up off the bed and held my shoulders.
“Take deep breaths Sophie you have to breathe, this is ok, you have already met and hung out with Joe when he came over here and you have talked to the others over Skype, this time it will just be in the flesh. You know this family and they know you. It’s not like you’re meeting them for the first time.” She pointed out.
“Well I kind of am.” I told her as she rolled her eyes and let me go since my freaking out breathing had stopped and I was calm again. I went back to my wardrobe and threw clothes on the bed.
“Do you really need all of this?” Rainer asked picking up some of my clothes.
“Of course I do, I’m going from New York to Michigan, then to Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Washington, Oregon and then to California, I need to be prepared for everything.” I told her as she huffed but nodded.
“I suppose so where is the wedding again, and whose is it?” She asked me as I shoved my clothes onto the bed.
“It’s in New York and it’s one of the big head honchos of Disney that helped the boys out with Jonas L.A, I don’t know, but it will be expensive.” I told her as she nodded.
“Well I’m jealous, why could Joe not decided he liked me after you’re birthday?” She asked me as I folded a shirt and shoved it into my suitcase.
“Because Joe’s a douche basically, a friend of mine but still a big douche head.” I told her as she nodded.
“Yeah well, he wasn’t that good a kisser anyway.” Rainer got up off the bed, “So are you going to tell Nick you like him?” She asked as I stopped and turned to her with my hands on my hips with an expression that read as you-have-got-to-be-joking.
“Like I would tell a Jonas Brother that I liked him, he’s younger than me for a start and I’m no Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez.” I told her as Rainer laughed.
“Ok first of all, you would never want to be Miley Cyrus because ew and secondly didn’t Selena like break up with him?” She asked me as I nodded.
“A week ago, which brings me to my third point of why telling him is a very very bad idea.”
“But he will be on the rebound, that’s the perfect time.” She said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“You do not be a rebound with Nick Jonas ok,” I frowned at her annoyed throwing a couple more t-shirts into the bag, “He deserves better than that.” I walked to my wardrobe again and stood there with my hands on my hips, looking at what exactly I had left that I needed to take, “and not to mention it’s not like I can have a one night stand or anything, not that I would want to.”
“Oh right yeah the ring thing, that’s a bit of a bummer.” She sighed and picked up one of my t-shirts and began to fold it as I walked back to the bed and picked up another shirt, my phone began to ring ‘you’re biggest fan’ and I knew exactly who it was.
“Speaking of Nick,” I walked around the bed and picked up my phone, I hadn’t got a photo of Nick yet for my screen, which was something I needed to do.
“Every fucking day.” Rainer rolled her eyes as I gave her the finger.
“Nick hi.” I answered putting the phone to my ear.
“Hi Soph, how are you?” He asked in his American accent as I bit my lip, I looked at Rainer who rolled her eyes.
“I’m ok; can you hang on for two seconds?”
“Sure.” I put the phone down and covered the mouth piece.
“Get out of my room, if you’re going to be a smart ass.” I told Rainer who just laughed.
“Fine, I’ll happily leave you two to converse. Nick you better look after her or I swear I will be on the next flight over, to kick you’re ass.” Rainer called out as I shooed her away.
“Thank you Rainer you’re so helpful.” I told her sarcastically as she smiled and left the room, I put the phone back up to my ear, “Sorry about that.”
“That’s ok, I’m pretty sure she meant it, the ass kicking I mean.” Nick told me as I laughed.
“Nah, her bark is worse than her bite she talks a lot of crap that woman, I still don’t know why she’s my best friend.” I told him as he laughed.
“Because you’re world is upside down?” He asked.
“Sure, you don’t know this but I’m standing on my roof, wait but wouldn’t the roof be the floor to me?” I asked him as I went into the bathroom to find my toilet bag I was taking with me.
“That would make sense, then my floor would be you’re roof?” He asked confused.
“I don’t know, I think so, my minds going blank, I’m trying to find my stupid hairbrush to put in my bag and its grown legs and ran away.” I told him kneeling to look through the bottom cupboard under the sink, “I don’t even know what the hell this is.” I picked up a bottle of something with no label, I heard Nick laugh, “It has no label but it’s got something in it, but I don’t think I want to know.”
“No, sounds like you just need to rid of it.” He advised.
“Yeah, see that would be the smart move, I think I’m just lazy.” I shrugged putting the mystery bottle into the bin beside me.
“A little bit.” He teased, “Hey I called to let you know I can’t come get you from the airport in New York, but I’m sending a car.”
“Wait you mean like an unmarked car like in James Bond?” I asked him as he laughed.
“Not that fancy, but something like that.”
“You’re not trying to impress me are you Nick Jonas?” I asked him with a grin on my face.
“Is it working?”
“Not right now.” I told him honestly, “but maybe when I get there.”
“Well then no for now and yes when you get here.” I heard the smile in his voice as I laughed.
“You are so very charming Mr. Jonas.”
“I like to think so. I’m organizing it now, I just wanted to make sure I have you’re flight time right.”
“Sure, let me get up off the bathroom floor first, still without any success on the hairbrush front.” I huffed and stood closing the cabinets.
“I feel sorry for you and you’re hairbrush.” He gave me sarcastic sympathy.
“I don’t need you’re sympathy Nick, just a hairbrush.” I retorted hearing him laugh.
“I’ll remember that for next time, let me just write it down.” More sarcasm.
“I don’t like you’re tone Nick, it’s not helpful.” I huffed as I went into my handbag.
“You love my sarcasm, it’s one of my best features.”
“Yeah ok, keep telling yourself that. Ok you ready for my flight time?” I asked him unfolding the piece of paper.
“Yip, go for it.” I told him my fight time and then he had to go so I hung up and bit my lip in excitement, I wasn’t sure if it was because I was finally seeing Nick in person, or if it was because I was getting out of the country. Plus I’d always loved flying in a plane even with the risks, I didn’t do it very often so it was still exciting, the best thing was I only had to wait until tonight to wait. At 8 pm I would be on my flight to New York to meet one of my best friends who I had never met in person, it was so strange to think that.
Three years it had been since Nick had replied to me online, three years and not one day we hadn’t talked since, I still remember talking all night and trying to stay awake in the process, hours we had spent talking it was ridiculous to even contemplate the hours, but it seemed to just flow. We advised each other about relationships, friends, family everything and anything I think at one point I even advised him on what to wear and him with me, it was a long distance friendship that I wanted to have in person, I’m not quite sure when we exchanged numbers, I think it was at one on the morning my time, it took us ages to figure it out and finally get the message to go through, but it worked and it went from the computer to phones, so instead of being limited to the computer we texted everyday all day it cost a fortune but it was worth it.
So now finally, I was going to see him in real life, go on tour and be his date to this wedding, I just wished it was an actual date, but he didn’t know I liked him and that’s how I was keeping it, like a Jonas could like someone so normal, and unhollywood.
“Are you done now?” Rainer came back in as I nodded.
“Yip, he just called to tell me he’s sending a car to pick me up from JFK.”
“A car? That’s very spy like.”
“That’s what I thought too. By the way,” I looked up at her, “Do you have my hairbrush and straighter?” I asked her as she looked from side to side doing her I’m innocent eyes.
“No.”
“Liar, I want them back.” I pointed at her as she huffed.
“Ok fine, I don’t want you’re stupid straighter anyways.” She turned and left the room as I picked up my phone.
*Rainer is the hairbrush stealer, crisis averted.* I texted Nick.
*Ok, I’ll stop worrying now, I was going crazy* He replied.
Rainer came back in and handed me both hairbrush and straighter as I grinned at her.
“Thanks deary.” I put them into my toilet bag.
“You’re welcome, by the way we’re having dinner at the airport, I want a jumbo slice of pizza.” She told me as I laughed.
“I’m going to have pizza in New York, its going to be awesome.”
“Don’t tease it’s not nice.” Rainer began helping me pack my things again, we went through my entire room, I generally seemed to over pack a lot but I had one large suitcase, another large bag, my laptop bag and handbag, it was about 5:30 when we headed to the airport since international flights always needed you to check in ridiculously early, I met my parents at the terminal about an hour before I was due to take off.
“I still don’t know about this.” My mum put in as I swallowed my bit of pizza.
“Mum it will be fine, you’ve talked to him over the phone, and I’m 21 years old, I know what I’m doing.” I told her as she hugged my shoulders.
“I know, I’m just going to miss you.” She told me as I hugged her back.
“I’ll miss you too,” My dad didn’t say much he was a quiet man who really just went along with whatever my mother decided it was nice when he said this.
“I’ll miss you both, but I’ll email and you can call anytime, apart from night time and really early in the mornings.” I told them as my mum nodded and touched my cheek lightly.
“Don’t do anything stupid and you can come home anytime ok?” She frowned in concern as I just gave her a reassuring smile.
“I know,” I told her.
My flight was called about half past 7 and I felt the nerves and excitement actually physically hit me, I stood and my family and Rainer walked me to the departure gates, I gave all of them a hug and then laughed at Rainer who was crying.
“Don’t laugh at me you whore.” She hugged me as I hugged her tight.
“Sorry, I don’t mean too, I love you Rainer, you’ll be ok with out me, you always are.”
“I know, I’ll miss you heaps and heaps and I’m so jealous it’s ridiculous, I hate you for leaving me.” I felt my throat clench as it hit me then I was leaving these people, the people I loved the most.
“Don’t make me cry Rainer.” I tried but a tear slid out anyways, we hugged for a bit longer before my flight was called again, I let her go as she wiped her eyes.
“Good luck, you get that Jonas Brother, and tell the other one he’s a dick.” She told me as I laughed.
“I will, I promise.” I threw my laptop bag over my shoulders before I gave them all sad smiles and put my large handbag over my other shoulder, I turned and walked to the departure gates and handed in my ticket. I went through security and then waved at them all as a couple of tears fell, it would be ok, I was coming back, it was just for two months.
I was seeing Nick this was exciting, I walked around the bend and found myself alone on the vast expansion of the airport, I went through more security, I spent about half an hour looking around in duty free shops, I brought myself a magazine with puzzles and a new book that looked good.
“Would the first class passengers and children with babies please come forward to board flight 746 to New York City,” The loud speaker informed us, I looked at my ticket to check what seat I was in and frowned at the ticket, for some reason there was a bit that said first class on it, I frowned again really confused, I had never really looked at the ticket that Nick had booked for me, I just assumed that it was just a normal boarding pass in economy, confused I walked up to the flight attendant as the businessman and parents lined up.
“Excuse me this is economy right?” I asked her pointing out my seat number.
“No ma’am that is a first class ticket.” She told me as I blinked at her.
“Are you, are you sure?” I asked her as she nodded with a smile.
“Yes, if you want to stand in the line you can board now.” She told me as I nodded and walked to the back of the line, I took out my phone.
*Ok you’re impressing me now, thank you Nick for the ticket you really shouldn’t have.*
*You are more than welcome, economy sucks flying 21 hours, live it up and relax, are you on the plane?*
I handed my ticket to the same lady I had asked the question too, she just gave me another smile.
“Enjoy you’re flight.”
“I will thank you.” I told her as I walked down the pathway replying to Nick as I went.
*not yet, I’m in the line, I don’t think I can thank you enough, I have to turn my phone off, I’ll see you in 21 hours, thank you again.*
*Seeing you in person is all the thanks I need, I can’t wait to see you have a good flight.*
I turned my phone off as I got to the flight attendant and handed him my ticket, he looked at it and smiled directing me to the left, “This way please.”
“Thanks.” I took my ticket back and went to the left why a lot of others went to the right, I found myself talking to another flight attendant, she looked at me strangely as I handed her my ticket, I think she didn’t usually see people with a long sleeved plaid shirt and denim shorts enter the first class lounge. She read my ticket and gave me a smile.
“This way please.” She walked through the curtain and I followed her through, it was literally like walking through to a space ship, there were single seats with curved walls separating each chair from the next one, there were more suits in here then I had seen in an suit store. Mostly old, chubby and balding, strange how that stereotype turns out to be completely ligit, the best thing about the suits was that they worked even when they were on a plane, one was making a phone call too, I got led to the first seat on the left.
“Shall I take those for you?” She asked gesturing to my bags, I hesitated a bit, mostly because I was hoping to keep them with me. “You can get them back when we have taken off.” She explained.
“Oh right sure.” I took put my IPod, book, pen and magazine out before she took my laptop bag and handbag from me, “Thank you.”
“No problem, would you like something to drink?” She asked me putting my bags in the over head locker.
“No thank you, not right now.” The flight attended nodded.
“Well when you need something just press that button on the chair, have a good flight.” She smiled and then left, I was kind of aw struck at the place, it was so strange having curved seating, I sat in my chair and began to play with things and check everything out, I got excited when I could pull the TV out of the wall so it sat in front of me, it was like being a child in a toy shop, you had to touch everything.
Once I figured out everything I needed to I put my head back and closed my eyes, I was here on a flight to New York, I was going to see Nick, all I had to do now was wait 21 hours, and I knew they were going to be the slowest 21 hours of my entire life.
So That's chapter one, hope you liked it, reviews would be awesome.
