Im new here, also first fanfic ive written in a while, so bare with me haha.

6 years old
"Your it!" Some boy says running up to me. It was my first day of kindergarten and already i was getting bothered.
"No I'm not" I say bluntly. The boy looked at my strangely.
"Yes you are, i tagged you, that means your it." I look at him confused. All i was thinking about was why a strange boy i didn't even know randomly tagged me.
"My name is Layla" I say cheery. The boy smiled showing all his teeth.
"My name is Joe!" he reply's back just at cheerful. I grin and think of an idea.
"Your it!" i say touching his arm and running off. I look back and see Joe not falling far behind me.
15 years old
"Your moving?!" My bestfriend Joe screams as i tell him I'm moving to Pennsylvania. Me and Joe have been bestfriends as far back as i could remember. We've been inseparable ever since my first day of kindergarten. Over the years i've also become close with his 2 brothers Nick and Kevin.
Now my dad decides to take up a new job,making me leave my friends behind.
I nod as i start to cry a little. I was over the Jonas's house that day when i broke the news.
"You can't!" Joe says stomping his foot childishly and pouting.
"Your my Layla bear" He says engulfing me in a hug.
"And your my Joeybear" I reply returning the hug. Nick and Kevin walked in confused as ever.
"What's going on?" Kevin asks sitting on the bed. I sigh and motion Nick to sit down also. He looks at me hesitantly but obeys.
"I'm moving" I blurt out.
"What?!" Nick screams now standing up. I wince a little and nod. Kevin's sitting there in shock while Joe looks like he's about to cry.
"When are you leaving?" Kevin asks quietly. Nick and Joe look at me waiting for an answer.
"In one week" I sat closing my eyes afraid of their reactions.
That week all i did was spend time with the guys. It was now friday and i was leaving the next morning.
"Whatcha guys wanna do? I'm bored" I saying laying on the couch in the Jonas house. I was laying on the couch with my head in Joe's lap. He was playing with my hair like he always does when hes bored. I look over to the recliner and see Nick sprawled out snoring slightly. I giggle quietly and look around to see Kevin nowhere to be found.
"Figure, it's your last day and these boneheads are sleeping." I look up and see Joe grinning down at me.
That's what im going to miss the most about Joe, his smile just made everything better.
I'm gonna miss him running into my room on the weekends early in the morning jumping on me. I'm going to miss his stupid jokes he would tell whenever i was upset. Most of all im going to miss his hugs. They're so comforting and i loved the smell of his cologne that lingered on my clothes after we parted.
My thoughts were soon interrupted by a pillow lightly hitting my face.
"You space out way to much girly" Joe says teasingly. I sit up and stick my tongue out at him like an immature 5 year old. He laughs and takes me into a bear hug.
"Im gonna miss you so much" He says into the top of my head. I smile sadly into his chest sighing and taking in his scent.
"I'll call everyday, i promise" I say sitting up and taking his hands in mine.
"You better" He says threateningly, I could see his eyes smiling back at me. I look over at the clock, 8:14 it read.
"I should get home" I sigh and stand up. Joe gets up and follows me to the door.
"Be over tomorrow around 9?" I ask. He nods and hugs me goodbye as i leave the Jonas's house for the last time.
Short, i know, but it will get longer
